- How come you can sell airline tickets cheaper than the airlines?
There are at least three answers to this question:
1. It is customary that airlines pay a commission to travel agents. Standard is 9% , some pay more some even less but Cyber Air Broker always passes most of the applicable commission on to our clients.
2. About 90% of all our tickets sold are "negotiated net fares" Those are contract rates which airlines do not offer direct to the public. Savings here can be substantial.
3. We are experienced in combining tickets from different airlines/suppliers which may also lead to substantial savings.
- Do I earn frequent flyer points on your tickets?
Yes, just the same as if purchased from the airlines.
- How long does it take you to issue tickets?
Most tickets are issued on the spot in our office, some come from the local airlines/suppliers and may take a few days. Some delays may occur with tickets which we may have to order from partner agencies overseas, we will keep you informed.
- How do I get my tickets?
Local clients may just come to our office and collect the ticket in person. Australia wide, we sent by overnight Australia Post courier at no charge. International clients may receive the ticket by airmail at no charge. Some tickets can also be collected from your local airline office. If required, clients can also collect from any ASFA member travel agency world-wide.
- I did book my flight direct with an airline. Can I still get the ticket from you and save?
Yes if the airline has booked your flight in the required booking class.
- I did book my flight with an other travel agent. Can I still get the ticket from you?
Only if there are still seats available. You should cancel your flight as a matter of courtesy and after our advice.
- I like to book a few months ahead. Do you require a deposit?
No, we do not require deposits.
- What happens if I need to cancel my flight?
As long as your ticket has not been issued, no charge. After ticket issue A$ 50.- (US$ 25) plus airline charge (if any). We will advise you. Date changes may not occur a charge.
- Do you have any hidden charges?
No. Our quotes are initially without airport fees, those will be advised with your booking confirmation. The reason is that the exact airport fees can only be established once your entire routing is known including all stopovers.
- I lost my ticket. What I do?
If prior to departure, contact our office. If close to departure contact your local airline office. Likewise if en route contact your local airline office which is supposed to contact us in order to obtain whatever information is required.
- Do you sell any airline tickets?
About 95% including all IATA airlines. We do not offer airline tickets from uncooperative airlines or airlines which do not offer a commission to us. History has shown that airlines which do not offer commissions don't last very long.
- You used to be member of ASTA but I can not find their logo anymore.
That is correct. We did not renew our membership. With time comes wisdom. Main reason is that ASTA really did nothing in helping us to recover an outstanding refund from one of their member travel agents and feel that our membership fee is wasted here.
